Anderson Orchard

This morning we joined a bunch of friends from our ward at Anderson Orchard to pick some apples! We started out letting the kids play on the playground and on a huge hay pile, while we waited for everyone to arrive.
Garrett was so excited about the hay!
Tori made it all the way to the top!
Here's a better view of the hay pile!
Tori was so brave- she jumped all the way down!!!
Then it was on to the orchard to pick some apples! We ended up finding new apples we have never tried before- the Concord, Jonathan, and Honey Crisp. And we had to pick some Gala- they are always yummy!
Garrett turned out to be a great apple picker!
And Tori has quite a knack for finding perfect ones!
The orchard encourages you to sample as you pick- and sample we did! Tori loved her Concord apple- she ate the whole thing!!!
This orchard was huge- they even have a pond where you can fish. Or (like Tori and Benson) throw sticks into!
Once we made it back, the kids played on the playground again! Garrett was having a ball!
And Tori tried out every single slide!
Our final hurrah was to try their infamous Apple Cider Slushies- this has been on our Indiana bucket list for quite some time now. And yes- they were just as awesome as they sound!!! (Don't worry, we took some home to share with Jared so he could mark it off as well!)
Tori and Garrett were big fans of their slushies!
Hurrah for a fun new adventure and being able to mark something off our Indiana bucket list- today was great all the way around!!!
