5/7/14- Tori: "Look at all the fairies flying in the air! It's because of my powers!"
11/30/13- Tori: "Garrett throws stuff at people. That's a thumbs down! It's mean!"
11/1/13- While driving by some fields, Tori said, "hmmmm, I didn't see any random turkeys!"
5/31/13- Tori had just finished eating dinner when she turned around and declared, "my tummy is getting bigger just like my hair!"
3/25/13- Tori: "You took the ball away from me Daddy. That wasn't really nice of you. That's a 1 for you Daddy!"
3/25/13-Daddy, Tori, and Garrett had been playing in the snow until Tori's socks got wet. They came inside, Tori changed her socks, and Jared asked her if she wanted to go back out to play in the snow again. Tori's response, "when it gets warmer!"
3/24/13- As we were getting ready for church we were watching a movie about the nativity story. At one point Tori said, "That would be fun if the angel came to visit our house!"
Mommy: "That would be neat! What do you think the angel would tell us?"
Tori: "He would tell us that Heavenly Father and Jesus love us and this is Baby Jesus!"
3/8/13- Tori walked up to Daddy and said, "my nose feels a little red!"
2/28/13- Tori had asked me for more cereal as I was working on gettting dinner in the oven. Being a little distracted, I said, "Let me get dinner in the oven and then I'll give you some more cheese."
Tori: "Cereal."
Mommy: "I mean cereal."
Tori: "It's a hard word to say. I say cereal and you don't."
Gee thanks, Tori!
2/10/13- Tori: "Mommy, I have a frog in me. I need a drink of water!"

1/13/13- A few weeks ago, we were sitting in Sacrament meeting and the deacons had just started passing the bread. Tori very excitedly and loudly exclaimed, "Look they're possums!!!"
1/11/13- Tori and Garrett both threw up this morning. So when Daddy got home, Tori was telling him about it. She showed him the puke bucket and said, "I crowped in here!" I guess crowp is Tori's word for throwing up- so funny!!!
1/6/13- Tori and Mommy were having a tea party and here was our conversation:
Tori: "Here's a peace offering, Mommy. It's a cake!"
Mommy: "It's so yummy. Do you want some?"
Tori: "No it's yucky and now you are a Mommy bear."
Can you tell we have been watching Merida (Brave) a lot?!!
12/24/12- While changing the sheets on Mommy and Daddy's bed:
Tori: "If I jump on the bed it makes it happy!"
Daddy: "If I tickle Tori on the bed it makes it happy, too!"
Tori: "No it doesn't. If you tickle Garrett on the bed and I jump on the bed it makes it happy!"
12/19/12- This afternoon we were skyping with Grandma and Grandpa Allen, Uncle Alec, and Uncle Dillon as they were driving to Arizona. We lost our connection and the call was dropped. Tori looked over at me, and very indignantly said, "I don't think they're listening to me!"
11/2/12- Jared had been helping Tori discover new princess songs on her princess castle. They had been trying to figure out how to get Tiana for quite some time.
Tori: "I promise, you find Tiana."
Daddy: "I promise to find Tiana if you promise to go poop on the potty."
Tori's reply: "Good call Daddy, good call!"
9/23/12- Tonight Tori had been in the bathroom going potty for quite some time. She finally emerged dragging a packed bag behind her.
Mommy: "What do you have?"
Tori: "Going on a new-cation!"
So, what does Tori pack for her vacations? Well, a hand towel, tylenol, benadryl, remover lotion, and a piece from a broken bath toy!!!
9/13/12- Tori was going to the bathroom at the Natatorium before swim lessons and got scared when someone next to us flushed a toilet. Luckily, she was mostly done so we finished up and got her off the potty. She came over, hugged my legs, and said, "I don't like potty training!"
9/1/12- Mommy: "What would you like for breakfast?"
Tori: "Fancy dress food... I had when I was a little boy named Bob!"
8/31/12- Mommy: "You did a super job!"
Tori: "I not super, I fancy!"
8/30/12- Mommy: "Tori, we're running around in circles!"
Tori: "No, run around in triangles!!!"
8/30/12- For the past couple of weeks, Tori has been using the word "griggly" all the time. We have no idea what it means and so today I just had to ask!
Mommy: "What does griggly mean?"
Tori: "Griggly means I go to baseball game!" So, there you go!!!
8/14/12- We have been potty training lately and have let Tori run around with nothing on when she has not been a fan of her panties. So, this is what happened after nap today:
Mommy: "Tori, which panties do you want to wear?"
Tori: "No panties!"
Mommy: "Do you want to go bare bum?"
Tori: "No! Lion bum!"
7/17/12- Tori was spinning around a bunch until she got dizzy and then said, "floor shaking!"
7/9/12- Tori, "Bye, Mommy."
Mommy, "Bye. Where are you going?"
Tori, "To Daddy's room to feed Parker some food!"
6/21/12- Tori, "Hello, Mommy!"
Mommy, "Hello, Tori!"
Tori, "Nice to meet ya!"
6/15/2012- Daddy brought some of Tori's ponies in to sleep with her tonight.
Daddy, "What do you say?"
Tori, "Happy burkay!!!"
5/27/2012- After our Sunday naps, Jared was still laying on our bed when Tori came into our room. This was her reaction: "Tori sleep on pillow. Daddy on the floor. Daddy move!"
5/21/2012- Tori: "Daddy's a doctor."
Mommy: "Daddy's a teacher."
Tori: "Teach all the people!"
4/22/2012- Tori and I stepped out of Sacrament meeting for a diaper change and as we were finishing up I noted that the rest hymn was still being sung. I pointed this out to Tori, she then grabbed my hand and started to pull me down the hall while saying, "comin' song, comin' song!"
4/7/2012- Tonight we had cuties with our dinner (Tori loves those things, as do Jared and I!)! Jared had just pealed a whole cutie and put it on the table. Neither one of us were paying much attention until a few minutes later when Jared asked, "where did all the oranges go?" The entire bowl was empty. Tori's response, "in that way," as she pointed into her mouth!!!
4/5/2012- This morning we were all cuddling in Mommy and Daddy's bed. Tori snuggled in and said, "ahhh, warm and toasty!"
4/4/2012- Jared got up from the table when we were eating dinner as a family. Tori looked at him and very seriously said, "Daddy, eat your dinner please." I guess she has been hearing that a lot lately :)
4/2/2012- Tori was playing and tooted. She started giggling and said, "Tori funny noise!"
2/20/2012- Tori loves applesauce, but we can't get her to eat apples. Tonight I tried a new approach by using Tori's Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) doll- she was our princess in residence for dinner.
Mommy: "Does Aurora like apples?"
Tori: " No!!! Snow White apples!"
Yep our little girl knows her princess stories- and no, Tori didn't try any of her apples!
2/19/12- This morning as Jared and Tori were driving to church she kept saying, "star, Jesus born!" Can you tell that someone at our house is still requesting Christmas movies and stories?
1/15/12- Tori has 2 fun new phrases - "nice" and "be nice." Tonight Jared was teasing her and she said, "Daddy be nice," and then she said, "Baby Brother nice." I guess she is going to keep us all in line by letting us know if we are nice or if we need to be nice!!!
1/5/12- The beloved penguin decorations next door have been taken down and put away until next year. Now whenever we leave Tori says, "penguins away." It is amazing how much she has loved, and now remembers, those penguins!
12/22/11- Since Derek has been staying with us, he and Tori have had many Skype chats with Grandma Allen using Derek's phone. This afternoon, Tori saw Derek's phone and practically yelled, "oh, Frama!" We love her new name for Grandma!
12/18/11- This Christmas Tori is starting to pick up on some of the Christmas lingo. She loves Rudolph and Frosty and our favorite is that she calls Santa "Christmas." This afternoon, as we were sitting in church, she kept pointing to the gentleman with a long white beard that was sitting in front of us and saying, "Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!" I think Tori thought Santa was at church with us today!!!
12/11/11- This morning Tori's head got bonked as Derek was getting her into her carseat. Derek told her he was sorry and then Tori replied, "sorry Dersh!" She continued saying it all the way to church and then all the way back home again!
12/1/11- One of Tori's new favorite phrases is "open please!" But she is not referring to doors or windows, basically it is anything that she wants to be cut. So at our house we "open" waffles, oranges, sandwiches, chicken nuggets, ramen noodles, etc.
11/30/11- Our neighbors have one of those blow up yard decorations featuring a group of penguins. Tori has loved it since the first moment she saw it. One day as we were leaving the house she ran out to see the penguins and noticed that they had blown over. Now anytime we are leaving the house or getting close to being home she says, "penguins over!" She sure loves those penguins!!!
11/12/11- Tonight we went grocery shopping at Walmart. In the front entrance there is a huge Christmas tree on display, so Jared took Tori over to see it. Jared showed her the tree and then Tori pointed to the ornaments and excitedly proclaimed, "apples and oranges!" We better watch out when we put our tree up - she might try to eat the ornaments :)
11/4/11- This morning Grandma Allen was skyping with Alec. When Alec wasn't on the screen Tori would yell, "Aaz come!" If he didn't come right away she would then add, "he's hiding!" We love that she if finally starting to say most of our family members names - and we love how she says them too :)
11/1/11 - I have been making costumes for our upcoming Night In Bethlehem activity for our ward. Jared tried his on tonight and when Tori saw him she said, "Daddy's pretty dress!"
10/30/11 - Grandma Allen was talking to Garrett and told him he was such a big boy. Tori's response, "no, baby!" I guess she figures she is the only big kid at our house!
10/11/11 - When we are doing Tori's prayers at night we say I'm thankful for... and she rattles off a huge list. Tonight she added "my baby" to her list. Needless to say, we got a little teary eyed!
10/9/11 - We sent a picture message of Garrett to our friends who were watching Tori. When they showed her the picture she called Garrett "Tori's Baby."
7/25/11 - As we were getting ready to start dinner this evening, we asked Tori what she wanted to eat. Her response, "bears (Teddy Grahams), yogurt, Parker, and Lincoln!"
5/5/11 - This morning, Tori and I were outside with Prince when one of our neighbors started up some yard equipment. I asked Tori what it was. Her reply, "Jesus!"
