Tori's Butterfly Adventure!

Uncle Jer, Aunt Kim, and London gave Tori a butterfly house for her birthday! This has been the neatest experience and one the best gifts ever! Our fist step was to order Tori's caterpillars- it was so fun when they came in the mail!
She loved watching her caterpillars grow each day!
Once they all were inside their chrysalises, we got to move them into their butterfly house!
What an amazing thing to watch them start to hatch!
Tori loved mixing up their sugar water and putting it on some flowers to feed her butterflies!
The flowers wilted really quickly, so we tried a peach next. It worked much better!
These two made sure to check on the butterflies several times a day!
One day Tori came down looking like this! She had dressed like her butterflies!
She climbed up next to their house and started flapping her "wings!" When I asked her what she was doing, she matter-of-factly stated, "teaching them how to fly!" So adorable!!!
We could only keep them for a week and then we had to release them. Tori wanted to release her butterflies at the garden- she thought that would be a great new home for them!
Tori picked a great spot for the release, right next to some beautiful flowers!
She was so excited to reach in to help them get out of their house!
Such sweet moments as Tori's butterflies came out, rested for a few minutes on her fingers, and then flew off to explore their new home!
I don't know if we are ever going to be able to top this birthday present- it has been priceless!!!
