Trimming the Tree

We had planned on decorating our Christmas tree on December 1st - and then Garrett was admitted into the hospital that same evening.  Needless to say, the tree had to wait.  At first we were going to wait until Garrett was home to do any of our Christmas stuff.  It really didn't feel like Christmas at all without him here.  However, the longer he has been in the hospital, the more we have realized that at least for Tori's sake we still need to go ahead and do our Christmas things!

So tonight Jared and I were both at home with Tori, Derek, and Prince.  We all put on our Christmas jammies and we trimmed our beautiful Christmas tree! 

Tori had a ball, as did the rest of us!

and then she would hand it off to one of us...

so we could put it on the tree - our tree is a bit pokey!!!

I don't know why but Tori was doing this most of the night (I am attributing it to her runny nose!)!

Even though it would have been so much better if we all had been home together, it was still a wonderful night!  It helped bring the Christmas spirit back into our home and our hearts!!! (Thanks for taking such awesome pictures Derek - they are so fun!!!)
