The Big 3-0!!!

Jared's birthday was a big one this year.  Not only was he turning 30, but it was also his golden birthday (turning 30 on the 30th).  So, I knew we needed to do some extra fun things to celebrate!  Our first act of celebrating- taking Jared to an Indian's baseball game!  Jared knew this was the plan- especially since we gave him the tickets on Father's day.  But he didn't know that I invited a bunch of our friends to join us at the game!  It was so fun to see his look of puzzlement as more people we knew started showing up and sitting next to us- so much fun pulling off the surprise!
Garrett and Daddy getting all settled in at the baseball game!
Tori had a ball playing with Jared's binoculars all night long!
 Tori loved our "seats!"
Garrett loved exploring as well- he just can't get quite are far as Tori yet!
Here is most of the group we ended up with!  Thanks so much to the Bryan, Molly, and Brooklyn, Kate and Andrew, Cheryl and Sam, and Darrin, Jennifer, Simon, and Drew for joining us- we had a blast!!!
Simon and Drew were awesome and played with Tori all night long!!!
Daddy and Garrett at the end of the game!
Not too shabby for an after-the-game fireworks display! (Oh, the Indians won their 30th game of the season tonight- what a coincidence!!!)
Tori and Daddy checking out the fireworks!
Tori, Mommy, and Garrett watching the fireworks, too!!! (Both kids loved them!)
Since we got home quite late from the game, Jared and I were still up at midnight- when it officially became his birthday!  He was so excited to finally be able to open his gift from Dad and Charlene!
And he loves it- thanks so much Dad and Charlene!!!
Our last big surprise for Jared's birthday was a birthday card scavenger hunt.  Jared had to find all 30 of his birthday cards that Tori, Garrett, and I had hidden throughout the house!  To make it even more special- all of our family members sent me birthday messages for each card!  Thanks everyone for getting me your messages- Jared loved every single one of them!!!
Here is Jared starting out on #1!
Holding back a few tears- I think this one was from Mom Allen!!!
Tori was such a great helper- especially since she knew where they all were!
Hurrah- Jared found all of his birthday cards and got 30 kisses from Tori (and Mom Harrison)!!!
Tori is getting really good at singing "Happy Burkay!"
Our birthday boy with his cupcakes and, yes, all 30 candles!!!
Happy Golden Birthday Jared!  We hope you had a great couple of days and know how much we love you!!!  I'm sure the next 30 will be just as grand as the first 30- can't wait to share them with you!!!
