Juney Whank Falls

Our camp site is the perfect place to hike with younger kids!  There are three hikes that start across a bridge from our campground and the longest one is 1.2 miles round trip.  As an added bonus- all of the hikes take you to a different waterfall!  This afternoon our little group tackled our first hike to the Juney Whank Falls!

Jared, Garrett, and Tori were all gung-ho and ready to go!

Tori absolutely loved hiking- she literally ran most of the way to the waterfall!

Here we are in front of the Juney Whank Falls!  There was a neat bridge/sitting area right in front of the waterfall- it was perfect for a little break and a photo shoot!

A really nice fellow hiker took our group picture in front of the waterfall.  We are all kind of mixed up, but we are all there!  (You can even see Henry sleeping in his nice chair!!!)

Well, since Tori ran all the way up the mountain, she only made it a bit of the way down before she ran out of fuel.  So, I got to carry her most of the way down the trail and back to the campsite.  Silver lining to me carrying her- she was so tired that she took an awesome nap when we made it back to camp!!!

Hurrah for going on our first hike!  The trail was so gorgeous and the falls were great!  It has been a long time since I have been in actual mountains! And these mountains are unlike any I have ever seen- they are truly breathtaking!!!
