Kemah Boardwalk

Day two of our adventures with Grandma and Grandpa took us to Galveston, Texas- specifically Kemah Boardwalk. I have a feeling this is going to be my most favorite! Kemah Boardwalk is an amusement park on a pier overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Such a beautiful setting and a day full of fun! This was Garrett's first visit to an amusement park- we were a little worried as to how he would do. As is turned out, our worrying was needless- that kid hit the ground running and had a ball!!!
We started things off nice and slow on the double-decker Carousel! Everyone else went to the top level, but Tori and I stayed a little closer to the ground. During our ride, Tori's horse received a name and was even given a hug when our ride was over!
Next up, flying airplanes! As you can see, these airplanes are not made for anyone even close to being 6 feet tall- Jared was a trooper!
We had some awesome pilots with us today!
These two are definitely both two- love that they have so much fun together!
The first favorite ride of our day- the balloons! This picture is awesome because you can see all of us- Jared and Grayson, Tori and Linken, and me and Garrett!
These two loved riding all by themselves!!!
Grayson did not want to get off!
And neither did Garrett! (So we rode this ride at least 4 times in a row!!!)
Hurrah for Grandma's awesome homemade trail mix!
Tori was quick to take advantage of this setup!
A grand time was had by all on the train ride! (Although, Tori did get a little scared when we rode through a real western shootout!)
I would have to say that the Jungle Bounce ride was the absolute favorite of the day with all the little kids! Tori even asked me to take her picture in front of the sign!
Tori, Garrett, and Daddy on ride number one of the Jungle Bounce! When did our kids get to be so grown up?
Tori and Garrett loved this ride so much, they were soon comfortable riding it themselves!
And they absolutely loved it...
...every single time!!! (They went on it at least 10 times throughout the day!)
Hurrah for an Aunt and Uncle that wanted to ride the train with Tori and Garrett! Jared and I enjoyed our kid-free ride quite a bit!
The rest of our day included a super yummy dinner at Saltgrass Steak House to celebrate Nikki's and Mom Allen's birthdays (thanks so much Dad)! We found a great playground, which the kids very much enjoyed, we fed some fish- crazy how many there were, and in general, rode as many rides as possible- Jared and I even got to go on the roller coaster! We finally called it a day when Garrett fell asleep on one last train ride- such a wonderful day full of thrills and adventure!!!
