Bluebonnets

The bluebonnet is the Texas state flower and every spring when they bloom the tradition is to go out and take pictures in the bluebonnet fields.  It just so happened that a field of bluebonnets bloomed in a park really close to the Allen abode just before we came to visit.  So, after our family pictures, and then some yummy breakfast, we went to take part in this very Texas tradition!
Here is our bluebonnet field- aren't they beautiful?  I don't know how Derek captured this, there were people and photographers everywhere!
The gang on our trek to the field!
Linken, Tori, Uncle Alec, and the bluebonnets!
This one of Grandma, Linken, and Tori is adorable!!!
The waiting area!!!
I think this is my absolute favorite!!!
Linken and Tori running (very carefully) through the bluebonnets- they didn't want to step on any!
Our bluebonnet family picture!
Garrett was trying to tip over in the bluebonnets!
This picture makes me want to say, "hi-yah!"
Our cute girl in a field full of flowers!
After pictures, Tori and Linken quickly made their way to the playground! Tori loved this slide!
So, the next step was a bigger slide.  Yeah, not such a fan of this one!
After that- no more slides!  Tori moved on to the swings with Grandma, Uncle Dillon, and Linken!
Swinging away with Grandma and Grandpa! (Poor Grandpa- Linken was trying to be an escape artist!)
I'm not sure what Uncle Alec was trying to point out, but Tori seems very skeptical!
I would have to say that our first Texas bluebonnet expedition was a success!  I'm so glad we took part in this neat and unique experience!!!
