Happy 4th!!!

Our 4th of July celebrations were a bit low-key this year, which was just perfect for us!  During the day we spent time playing as a family!  We had yummy hamburgers for dinner- they seemed like a good 4th of July-ish thing to have, and then we took the kids to the pool.
Tori took a while to really get in!
But this kid was ready to go the second we got there!!!
I really think Garrett is going to be a water kid!
Tori not only enjoyed the water, but also jumping in the puddles around the pool- what a silly girl!
Garrett loves jumping in the water!!!
Mommy, Tori, and Garrett having a great time swimming!
All bundled up and ready to go home!
This year Indiana had a ban on personal fireworks- we haven't seen rain in quite some time.  So, we pulled our traditional red, white, and blue popsicles after swimming instead of during our usual kid-friendly fireworks show! Tori did not like anything cold when she was little, so we weren't sure how Garrett would do with his first popsicle.  Holy cow- he loved it!!!
Tori and Daddy were loving their popsicles, too!!!
I think Garrett ate at least half of his- what a kid!
This year we tried a new thing and went to see the fireworks in Plainfield.  It turned out to be a fun way to break Cam in a bit.  Here are Jared and Tori waiting for the show to start!!!
"Cheese!!!"
We really thought this would be how Garrett enjoyed his first 4th of July fireworks!
But, luckily, he woke up just in time!  Plainfield did a great job- we all enjoyed the fireworks display!
Hurrah for the 4th of July and the awesome country in which we live!!! We are so grateful for the amazing freedoms we enjoy, and most likely take advantage of, every single day!  Thanks to all those who have given so much for us to have those freedoms and the wonderful blessing of living in this great land!!!
